Names like Philippe Suchard, Rudolf Sprüngli, Aquilino Maestrani, Johann Georg Munz, Rodolphe Lindt, Jean Tobler, Henri Néstle, Robert und Max Frey which are still known today from existing chocolate brands, are synonymous for the exceptional quality of Swiss chocolate. It really is amazing that it were the Swiss who were so extremely successful with their chocolate, despite the fact that they had to import the expensive raw materials such as cacao and sugar from overseas. Nevertheless, they succeeded due to their extreme strive for quality. This is still today the recipe for success.
